HIFU — Your Questions Answered
HIFU causes mild discomfort — most patients describe brief tingling or warmth as ultrasound energy is delivered. A topical numbing cream is applied before the session. Most patients tolerate it very well and describe it as manageable.
Some patients notice an immediate tightening effect after HIFU. The main results develop progressively over 2–3 months as new collagen is produced. Peak result is visible at 3 months and lasts 12–18 months.
